| Hello all, I don't know what prompted me to check my xanga today, but i'm glad I did. I had a message from an old friend and it made me smile. Student teaching was amazing. The love I have for teaching is so strong, I don't know how I could be any more ready to have my own classroom. I was in third grade classroom in a north georgia county. It was so much fun. I think I learned just as much from the kids as they learned from me. I'm having surgery on my eyes this friday (the thirtieth) and the thirteenth of november. Kind of scared about it, but saying some prayers. On a much lighter note, I registered for my last semester of college today! It took a long time, but I finally am here! Pretty stoked about that! Hope everyone is well! Jeremy, check my last post I left you a note. Catherine Grace | | |
| Hey All! It's been quite a long time since I posted! Almost a YEAR! Everything is going great, between school and life that is! School= I start my student teaching in less than two weeks! I'm pretty psyched! I will be teaching third grade, it's definitley one of my favorites THAT IS FOR SURE! But on an even better note, I only have two more semesters then I will be done with my Bachelors! WOO HOO! I can't believe it is finally almost here! What's even better is i still have a 4.0! Who would have thought?! Life and Rob =) In april, my family and i went through a very hard time. My aunt marolyn, who was diagnosed with cancer for the first time in January of 2007, died. Aunt Marolyn did not let cancer get her down, we went as far as houston, texas to fight the cancer. She fought up until the very end. Hospice was called in at the beginning of march, and she held on until the very end of April. If you have never lost someone to cancer, I can honestly tell you it's a long gruesome process. Aunt Marolyn was loved by so many people, and she was responsible for so many of my first. She taught me how to fish, how to drive a stick shift, and how to live life to the fullest. I will never forget the time I got to have with her. On a much lighter note, I have spent the summer at Rob's and have enjoyed every moment i have been able to spend with him! Mainly since i know these moments will be rare once August 7 comes around! Our original plans were to be married in May 2010 after I graduate. However, those of you that hav e planned a wedding before can vouch for me, I have had no time to so much think about planning a wedding! I have poured my focus in and around school. So as the time approaches I have tried to convince Rob for us to just go to the courthouse. However, he is not buying the idea. =( Do I want a courthouse wedding? NO. But, I also have no time to plan one. So, that is still undecided. I hope everyone else is good! Hope ya'll all in enjoy the last few days of summer! Catherine Grace | | |
| I know this is going to be short. Buttttt, it's official we're engaged. Im sooo excited, it doesn't seem real yet. Even though it's just like blah, it's just a ring and it doesn't mean anything for another year. I just can't stop smiling and thinking about it =). He did sooooo good with the ring too. If you know me. . . it's a tad bit showy but it's still so gorgeous, im trying to learn to get over that. =) im going to try and put a pic up tomorrow i just have to get some sleep riiiight now . . . . Love Love. | | |
| On monday my second semester began in the Education program. . . Thank the lord. It really was looking like i might not get to re enter and i would have to say for how hard i have worked that is the SCARIEST feeling in the world. I have realized that if i ever want to have a back up career. . it could be speaking to first year college students and how much they need to realize that mistakes that they make now will forever be with them. My college finally got ABAC's scores. . . it brought my 3.78 GPA that i am so proud of down to a 2.39. After taking three classes this summer and making 3 A's it only brought my GPA up to a 2.48 . . . Sad huh? it takes a lot to bring it down but it's SOOO difficult to bring ti up. . . I however, refuse to let this get me down. I will finish school this time and i will continue my awesome MSC gpa. I've worked way to hard. I start alot of my key hands on classroom experience this semester and im soo excited. There's never been any doubt of what i want to do or me spending the rest of my career life in the elementary classroom. I cannot wait. I also was able to receive additional grants this semester that allow me not to have to worry about a full time job. which is incredible and has made my life so much easier already =). Through all of this i have learned just how lucky i am to have such a supportive and level headed boyfriend. Rob is so great and always knows just how to handle whatever new issue comes up. Bless his heart he even proof reads all of my papers before i hand them in. I have come to realize that i don't know what i would do without him. We have already picked out a ring, and i think that we are waiting till christmas for that. But, we have everything worked out for the next few years. And i know nothing ever goes according to planned but i think that this will. Well im off to read my assigned reading for Critical friend Group. . . it's Ron Clark's The Essential 55 and if you have kids or are in any way involved in a child's life. . i recommend you read it. I think you can get it off amazon used for as little as 5.00 bucks! It's an awesome read. Always cg | | |

I made a 4.0 whiiiich in lamens terms is ALLLLL A's baby =) im sooo proud of myself. Love. . . Rob and I are still dating, it's been about 8 months now. Scary riiight. I love him for all the stupidest reasons. He met my mom for the first time a few days ago which michael had to wait two years foooor. We've actually started looking at rings and have everything planned out, so that is going soooo well now. Life. . . Im good im great because of the two others i just mentioned.
